Taking a look at what the science says about women's penis size preferences.
Popular culture would have you believe that every woman wants a large dick, but the reality is more complicated than that. Let’s take a look at what the science says about women’s penis size preferences and to what extent women actually care about penis size.
Most surveys asking women about preferred penis sizes are flawed because women are notoriously bad at estimating sizes. One of the main reasons for this is that men often lie to women about their sizes, whether it be simply rounding up or adding an extra couple inches.
Prause et al. 2015 is a study that aimed to fix this issue by providing 75 women with several 3D erect penis models, and asking them to indicate their size preferences for one-time or longer-term partners.
Here are the average ideal penis sizes from the study:
Considering the fact that the average penis size is 5.5 inches in length and 4.58 inches in circumference, it does appear that women in general prefer slightly above average dicks.
We’ve established that women prefer slightly above average dicks, but this does not necessarily mean that dick size is highly important to women. For example, just because most men find blue eyes the most attractive does not mean that brown eyes are a dealbreaker for most men.
In the same study mentioned previously, women were asked to rate the importance of various attributes when considering a sexual partner. Attributes such as height, kindness, and even enjoyment of cooking ranked higher than penis size.
Other studies have found similar results, with attributes such as facial attractiveness, personality, and fitness consistently ranking as more important than penis size.
Overall, while women may generally prefer a slightly above average dick, size is not a major concern for most women. In most cases, men are far more concerned about penis size than women.
